CMC HISTORY

Creative Media Concept is an independent not-for profit organization established in 2010 and started operation in 2012. The organization was formed on the premise that social justice can only be achieved through actively engaging the public in the reform agenda. CMC exists to use creative media strategies to foster the understanding of good governance in regard to the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and to promote public responsibility and advocate for policy intervention.

OUR STRATEGY

CMC has significant experience in designing innovative media engagement strategies aimed at strengthening efforts to sensitize communities and improve lives.

We use Theatre for Development to highlight and sensitize communities on issues affecting children and vulnerable groups, and encourage community participation.

We produce well researched documentaries to raise the profile of advocacy work and encourage policy intervention

We use narration format to deliver advocacy messages packaged in simple, sensitive language that is appropriate for the targeted level of understanding. The narratives are drawn from empirical research and the experiences of disadvantaged children, vulnerable youth and adults.

Mission

Our mission is to maximize the participation of Kenyans in protecting the rights of children and safeguarding the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults through the use of innovative audio-visual media approaches.

We envision a world where all children, disadvantaged youth and vulnerable adults enjoy full community protection from abuse and exploitation.
